Peptidci

Peptitler (Grekçe: πεπτίδια; “değersiz sindirilebilirler”) tanılamamlanmış bir düzende, α-amino asitlerin birbirine destelanmasıyla oluşan endamsız polimerlerdir.[1] Bir amino asit sözıntısı ile başkası arasındaki bağ bir “amit bağ” veya peptit bağı olarak bilinir.[1]

Tetrapeptit (Oligopeptit)
Proteinler polipeptit molekülleridir (veya çok sayıda polipeptit zir birimi çitndırır). Taban ayırt peptitlerin endamsız, polipeptitlerin/proteinlerin ise uzun olmasıdır.[1]

Protein sentezi esnasında her amino asit, sair amino asite geceli gündüzlü, kırılmayan bir polimer olan polipeptid zincirleriyle destelanır. Polipeptid yapısına berklan amino asitlerin her biri yapıya peptid destelarıyla destelanır. Peptid bağının oluşumu esnasında amino asitlerden birinin amino grubu ile diğerinin karboksil grubu, aradan bir su çıkması sonucu birleşirler.[1]

Averaj bir polipeptit zinciri 450 amino asitten oluşur.[1] Aşina en uzun polipeptit, kestirmece 27,000 amino asitten oluşan, kas dokusunda kâin “titin”dir. Polipeptid zincirine berklan amino asitlere sözıntı (residue) adı verilir.[1] Zincirin bir ucundaki sözıntı, bağ yapmamış, özgür amino grubu çitndırır ve N ucu olarak adlandırılır. Aynı şekilde zincirin sair ucundaki özgür α-karboksil grubu olan sözıntıevet C ucu adı verilir.
